Allegheny County Police charged a 15-year-old boy as an adult in connection with a shooting Monday in the Sheldon Park housing complex in Harrison.

Albert Pittman of Harrison’s Natrona Heights section is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, tampering with physical evidence, firearms not to be carried without a license and illegal possession of a firearm by a minor.

Officers arrested the boy just before noon Tuesday, according to Harrison police Chief Brian Turack.

The shooting took place the day before at about 5:30 p.m. at the 21 building along Park Avenue. Township officers found a 33-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound, Turack said.

The victim was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition. An update on the victim’s condition Tuesday evening was not available.

County police assisted at the scene. Detectives returned just before noon Tuesday to serve a search and arrest warrants in a separate location of the complex, Turack said.

Pittman’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 26 at Pittsburgh Municipal Court.

Online court documents indicate Pittman remains in Allegheny County Jail after bond was denied.
