A West Virginia man put a pistol in a woman’s mouth during a fight Wednesday night in Vandergrift for “disrespecting him,” police said.

Henry Cherro McFadden, 44, of Barrackville, W.Va., is accused of arguing with the woman about 10:30 p.m. at a home along Spruce Street, police said.

Police said in court documents that McFadden and the woman had been in bed when she accused him of cheating on her and lying.

When she called him names, police said McFadden told her, “I told you about disrespecting me” and put the pistol into her mouth. He pointed the pistol at her as he was leaving the residence, police said.

Officers pulled him over at Walnut Street and Hancock Avenue.

Police said the pistol had bullets in the magazine but not the chamber.

He told police the pistol belongs to a North Carolina woman.

McFadden is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and carrying a handgun without a license.

District Judge Cheryl Peck Yakopec arraigned McFadden on Thursday and ordered him to be held in Westmoreland County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bond pending a June 25 preliminary hearing.
