An employee at the McDonald’s restaurant in Allegheny Township has tested positive for covid-19, causing a temporary closure of the restaurant along Hyde Park Road.

Owner Dan Delligatti said the site is being sanitized and is expected to reopen when cleaning is complete.

“Our highest priority is to protect the health and well-being of our people,” Delligatti said.

The employee is in quarantine.

Delligatti said he notified local public health officials, and co-workers who came in contact with the employee have been asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.

“Our people are the heart and soul of the McDonald’s family,” he said. “We are keeping this employee in our thoughts for a fast and full recovery.”
