An Armstrong County man was found sleeping in the woods a few miles from his home in Buffalo Township following a 24-hour search. He was taken to a hospital to be evaluated after officials found him on March 27, 2019.

An Armstrong County man who had been missing for more than 24 hours was found unharmed Wednesday in the woods a few miles from his home, officials said.

Officials confirmed they found Paul Walker sleeping on the ground in the brush shortly before 5 p.m., Trib news partner WPXI-TV reports.

Walker, 70, went missing around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday from his farm on Walker Road in North Buffalo. His family was concerned because he has dementia.

When officials found him, Walker woke and appeared to be in “good spirits,” South Buffalo fire officials told WPXI. He asked for some water so he could continue walking.

Walker was taken to a hospital to be evaluated.
