New Kensington man sentenced to jail in drug, threat cases
A New Kensington man was sentenced to state prison Monday in connection with six cases, including one in which he was accused of assaulting a woman with a gun in 2024.
Jadrian R. Wade, 31, was ordered to spend 2 1/2 to eight years behind bars, according to a court order.
Wade pleaded guilty Monday.
Among the charges to which he entered guilty pleas was an aggravated assault case where police said he threatened the woman in March 2024 at a home on Freeport Road in New Kensington. The woman told police Wade grabbed her by the hair and slammed her face into a window before hitting her in the head with a gun and threatening to kill her, according to court papers.
Police said Wade offered to pay her to drop the charges. He also pleaded guilty to intimidation of a witness involving the same woman, according to court orders.
Wade was sentenced in two cases involving chases with police in Lower Burrell and Allegheny Township last year and drug cases filed by the state Attorney General’s Office and New Kensington police related to incidents in 2023 and last year, according to court records.
