A pub crawl that started in New Kensington last year is expanding for its second run.

Seven bars are participating in the second annual Pre-St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl from noon to 5 p.m. March 4. The 2022 event drew hundreds decked out in as much green as possible.

This year’s crawl is expanding into Arnold and Lower Burrell by including MJ’s Bar & Grille, Hanes Tavern and Wildlife Lanes, said organizer Michelle Thom, with Voodoo Brewing New Kensington.

Other participants are botL and House of 1,000 Beers. Strange Roots will be participating for the first time, Thom said.

Beermuda is unable to participate because it is temporarily closed and still undergoing repairs following a fire in October, Thom said. Beermuda owner Jennifer Toney started the crawl last year.

Each participating bar will have food and drink specials.

Participants who buy tickets before midnight Feb. 21 will get a T-shirt designed by New Ken Ink. Those buying tickets after Feb. 21 through March 2 will not be guaranteed a shirt.

“When buying a ticket, participants choose a starting location — that location will have their wristband and T-shirt if the ticket has been purchased early enough for the cut-off,” Thom said.

Tickets cost $15 and include unlimited bus rides. No tickets will be sold on the day of the event.

Tickets are available online or at Voodoo, 956 Fifth Ave.
