A New Kensington teen is accused of shooting a man in a leg in Vandergrift last month when the man allegedly told him he didn’t have any drugs for sale.

Court records show Ryleik Amitre Arbuckle, 15, is charged as an adult.

A criminal complaint said Arbuckle pistol-whipped the 20-year-old man around 6:30 p.m. Nov. 5 along Vandergrift’s Franklin Avenue after the man told Arbuckle he needed money to go buy marijuana.

As the man walked away, Arbuckle shot him once in the back of the leg, the complaint said.

Vandergrift police found the man bleeding along the 100 block of Madison Avenue.

Arbuckle is charged with robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and gun charges.

He remains in custody pending a Dec. 31 preliminary hearing in front of District Judge Cheryl Peck Yakopec, court records showed.
