A New Kensington woman is accused of trying to run over a pedestrian crossing the street before intentionally crashing her Range Rover into a pickup driven by a man she thought was stalking her, according to authorities.

Jody L. Horner Glenberg, 69, of the 100 block of Argonne Drive was charged with two felony counts of attempted aggravated assault by vehicle along with two counts of attempted reckless endangerment. She also was charged with reckless driving and having an open container of alcohol in her vehicle.

Glenberg was released from the Westmoreland County jail after a Greensburg bail agency posted a $20,000 bond on her behalf.

A preliminary hearing before District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr. is scheduled for July 27.

A New Kensington police officer wrote in a criminal complaint charging Glenberg that he responded about 4:30 p.m. May 26 to a call for a hit-and-run near the intersection of Argonne and Riverview drives.

A man told police he was in the neighborhood working on an estimate for a remodeling job and turned onto Riverview Drive, the complaint said. He said a white Range Rover then pulled out and blocked the street, police said.

When the contractor pulled out his cellphone to record what was happening, the driver turned the SUV in his direction and crashed into his truck, according to the complaint.

While questioning the man, who told police he feared for his life, the officer saw a white Range Rover nearby with the driver “frantically” honking the horn and flashing the high beams, the complaint said.

Glenberg told police that the driver of the truck was stalking her, police said. When the officer questioned her about the black paint on the front of her vehicle, she became hostile, saying she “may have” hit the vehicle and again accused the driver of being a stalker, the complaint said.

While police were investigating the incident, a woman flagged down another New Kensington officer and reported that she was crossing the street when the driver of a white Range Rover revved the engine before speeding toward her, the complaint said.

As she was driven to the police station for booking, Glenberg told the officer that “the mob runs this town,” according to the complaint.
