PennDOT District 12 is alerting motorists about nighttime road restrictions next week during epoxy overlay preservation work in Westmoreland County, weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions will occur from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the following timeframes:

Upper Burrell: Monday evening through Wednesday morning at Route 366 (Greensburg Road) between Albee Drive and Dutchman Run Road;

New Kensington: Monday evening through Wednesday morning at Route 366 (Stevenson Boulevard) between Seventh Street and Fourth Street, and on Route 4087 (Second Street) between Logans Ferry Road and Route 366 and Sixth Avenue.

Single-lane restrictions will occur from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the following timeframes:

Murrysville: Wednesday evening through Saturday morning on Route 22 (William Penn Highway) between Kistler Road/Kohosek Court and Cozy Inn Cutoff/Haymaker Farm Road;

Oklahoma Borough: Wednesday evening through Saturday morning on Route 66 (Oklahoma-Apollo Bridge) between Sheridan Road and Kiski Avenue.

Crews from MEKIS Construction will be replacing the compression seals and strip seal glands on the roadways and placing an epoxy overlay on the bridges.

Traffic will be controlled with flaggers, and motorists are advised to be alert in the work zone.

This work is part of a $2.08 million project that includes bridge preservation activities, such as an epoxy-based surface treatment, minor bridge deck repairs, and replacement of neoprene compression and strip seals, on 16 routes and 22 structures in Westmoreland County. The project is expected to be completed in October.
