Oakmont Carnegie Library officials are calling for public opinion through an online survey prior to a town hall scheduled for next week.

The survey consists of 19 questions regarding people’s opinions about the library’s outreach, services offered, its current architecture, transportation methods and demographics of the survey taker. The survey can be accessed on the borough’s website.

“Your responses will play a vital role in guiding us to improve our programs and facilities to better serve the needs of our community,” a statement from the library read.

The town hall will take place at 6 p.m. Sept. 17 in the library’s lower-level meeting room. During the meeting, members of the public will be given the opportunity to speak about how the library can best serve Oakmont, Verona and surrounding communities in the years ahead.

The meeting will be led by library officials and GBBN Architect representatives. The meeting will provide a chance for library attendees to guide what improvements they’d like to see in the library space.
