Fire officials are investigating a fire Thursday at a home in Plum.

The fire in the 500 block of Unity Center Road was put out by Plum firefighters.

The fire was reported just before 6 a.m., according to an Allegheny County dispatch supervisor.

Plum police Lt. Lanny Conley said no one was reported injured. The fire appears to have started on the second floor of the house.

A county 911 dispatch supervisor said all fire units returned to their stations about 8:15 a.m. except for fire investigators. An Allegheny County fire marshal and the Plum fire chief were investigating the fire.

Red Cross spokeswoman Lisa Landis said Red Cross emergency response staff were sent to the scene just after 6:30 a.m.
