A Springdale Township home is likely a total loss after a fire early Tuesday morning, according to Allegheny Valley VFC Chief Jay Zangrille.

Crews were dispatched to the scene along the 700 block of Maple Street just after 2 a.m.

When they arrived, firefighters discovered a fully involved house fire with flames shooting out of windows, Zangrille said.

He said crews knocked down most of the flames within 15 minutes and departed the scene around 4:30 a.m.

“That was a quick, quick response,” Zangrille said.

The home was unoccupied at the time of the blaze, and Zangrille said no one was injured in the incident.

Zangrille said he couldn’t speculate on the cause of the fire and the Allegheny County Fire Marshal is investigating.

Crews from Oakmont, Blawnox, Verona, Frazer, Rural Ridge and Highland Hose VFD also responded.
