PA CareerLink Alle-Kiski job fair to feature 9 businesses, dozens of positions

PA CareerLink Alle-Kiski in New Kensington held a GED graduation ceremony in November. The organization is hosting a job fair Thursday and will provide information about a variety of services, including GED education.

PA CareerLink Alle-Kiski is hosting a job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at 1150 Fifth Ave. in New Kensington.

Nine businesses representing a variety of fields will be on hand: Quality Life Services, Home InStead, KML Carpenters Apprenticeship and Training Fund, Whalen Exteriors, Filterbuy, U.S. Postal Service, Wesley Family Services, Eichenlaub, and V-Systems Inc.

Available positions include personal care aides, commercial carpenters and millwrights, exterior remodelers, postal carriers, nursing assistants and landscape technicians.

All-State Career School also will provide information about its accredited training programs.

PA CareerLink will offer resume assistance and information on funding for retraining, GED education, vocational services for people with disabilities and services for veterans.
