The PA Hero Walk will hold a memorial ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday for Army Sgt. Jason McClary at 21 Towne Center Drive in Allegheny Township.

McClary, 24, a native of the Export area, died in late 2018 at an Army base in Germany from injuries he suffered five days earlier in a blast in Afghanistan, according to the Defense Department.

PA Hero walk will present a $5,000 scholarship to his two sons, according to PA Hero Walk founder Al Pulice.

A handmade quilt will be presented to McClary’s widow, Lillie McClary. PA Hero Walk also will present a “honor and remember” flag to the McClary family.

Matt Shipley, a retired Navy SEAL commander and author of “American Founding Principles,” will be a guest speaker.
