Part of Crawford Run Road in East Deer will close later this month, the Allegheny County Department of Public Works announced Tuesday.

Crawford Run Road and its sidewalk will close at 9 a.m. Sept. 25 near Meadow Avenue for crews to repair Clarks Run Bridge No. 1.

During the closure, which is expected to end in November, crews from Pugliano Construction of Plum will remove and replace an outlet wall and install two inlets, scour protection, and put in new pavement, concrete curb, guardrail and pavement markings.

Traffic will be detoured using Butler-Logan Road, Russellton Road, Baileys Run Road and Freeport Road. Residents living near the closure area will have access to get to their homes.

The project is part of a $2.6 million 2023 Capital Bridges contract.
