Pedestrian struck in Plum shopping center

A 77-year-old man was taken to a local hospital after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in Plum.

Emergency responders were called to the Holiday Park Shopping Center on Golden Mile Highway just before 1 p.m.

They found the man who had been hit in the plaza’s parking lot. He was taken from the scene by Plum Emergency Medical Services.

The vehicle’s driver, who police did not identify, was cited for careless driving.

Additional information about the pedestrian’s condition was not immediately available.
