A $1.2 million landslide repair project has closed a portion of Millerstown Road in Fawn.

The closure between Callen Lane and Bull Creek Road began Monday and is expected to last through mid-April, according to PennDOT.

The slide occurred June 26, 2018.

Signs will be posted to direct motorists around the closure. About 1,000 vehicles use the road daily, according to PennDOT.

The landslide is one of more than 100 areas in PennDOT’s District 11 affected by landslides or problems beneath roads related to substandard drainage or oversaturated soil, Cowan said. District 11 includes Allegheny, Beaver and Lawrence counties.
