A West Deer road is scheduled to be closed 10 hours a day, each day, from Tuesday through Friday, PennDOT announced Monday.

Weather-permitting, Campbell Road will be closed to traffic from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. between Saxonburg Boulevard and Route 910 while crews are leveling the road and paving.

PennDOT spokesman Steve Cowan said the road has many “dips,” which crews will fill in before paving.

Traffic will be detoured.

The posted detour route is about 3 miles long. From west of the closure:

• From Campbell Road, take Route 910 eastbound;

• Turn left onto Saxonburg Boulevard;

• Follow Saxonburg Boulevard back to Campbell Road.

The posted detour from east of the closure is the same in the opposite direction.

The road will reopen at 6 p.m. each day, PennDOT said. Residents will be accommodated while the road is closed.

About 200 vehicles travel the road daily, Cowan said.
