PennDOT is planning a short-term closure of the ramp from Fox Chapel Road onto southbound Route 28 in O’Hara Township on Wednesday morning, Nov. 9 weather permitting.

Crews will perform shoulder paving on the ramp from Fox Chapel Road to southbound Route 28, requiring a full closure beginning at approximately 9 a.m. through late afternoon. Traffic will be detoured.

PennDOT is asking motorists to enter Route 28 southbound by going to the RIDC Park in O’Hara and taking the Beta Drive on-ramp.

The work is part of the $15.32 million project to improve approximately 3.5 miles of Route 28 between Exit 7 at Delafield Avenue and the Harmar Township line, approximately 1.75 miles north of the RIDC Park at the Exit 10 interchange.
