PennDOT is reminding motorists of single-lane restrictions on Route 28 in O’Hara, Harmar, Springdale, Frazer and East Deer will continue Friday, weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions will continue in both directions on mainline Route 28:

• Northbound: Restrictions from the RIDC Park (Exit 10) interchange to the Russellton/Creighton (Exit 13) interchange weekdays from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

• Southbound: Restrictions from the Russellton/Creighton (Exit 13) interchange to the RIDC Park (Exit 10) interchange daily from 9 a.m. to 6 a.m.

This work is weather dependent and restrictions may not occur daily.

Restrictions are anticipated to continue through the end of the year.

This work is part of the $27.68 million highway restoration project on Route 28 between Harmar/I-76/Route 910 (Exit 11) and Russellton/Creighton (Exit 13) interchanges.

Construction has included milling and resurfacing, concrete pavement preservation, bridge rehabilitation and preservation, guide rail and drainage improvements, highway lighting, traffic signals, ADA curb ramp installations, signing and pavement marking, and other miscellaneous operations.
