Everyone, meet Max!

This fun-loving guy is TribLive’s very first Pet of the Week, and he’s available for adoption at Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley in New Kensington.

Age: 4 or 5 years old

Breed: He’s a shepherd mix who came to the shelter with some pretty bad allergies but, after a round of medicine, he is doing much better.

What he likes: Max loves to play and splash around in the shelter’s kiddie pool.

Personality: He’s great with other dogs, but the shelter’s unsure about how he’ll do with cats.

After spending about two months at the shelter, he is ready to find his forever home.

All applicants go through a background check that is usually completed in one or two days.
