A man accused of an August homicide in Pittsburgh was arrested Wednesday in New Kensington’s Parnassus neighborhood.
Terrance George, 36, of Pittsburgh, is charged with criminal homicide, illegal possession of a firearm and carrying a firearm without a license in connection to an Aug. 26 homicide in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood.
U.S. Marshals, New Kensington Police and the Westmoreland County SWAT team executed the warrant at around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Third Avenue, said Melanie Jones, spokeswoman for the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office.
Pittsburgh Police accused George in the shooting death of Hezon Wilson, 25, on Aug. 26 in the 2300 block of East Hills Drive.
In a criminal complaint against George, officers wrote they had served him a protection-from-abuse order earlier in the day at 2330 East Hills Drive. It is unclear in the complaint who the PFA was in reference to.
Police obtained video footage of the shooting, the complaint said.
Authorities linked George to the shooting because he was wearing the same clothing that was picked up by officers’ body cameras when they served the PFA earlier that day, according to the complaint.
George was denied bail and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 14 in Pittsburgh Municipal Court.
