Plum's Movies in the Park series concludes next month
Plum’s last installment of Movies in the Park this season is set for Aug. 8 at Larry Mills Park.
The borough presents “Scoob.”
Produced by Warner Animation Group, the film is a modern take on the Scooby-Doo franchise. It tells a story about the lovable mutt and his gang of mystery solvers trying to stop a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world.
It stars Will Forte as Shaggy, Gina Rodriguez as Velma, Zac Efron as Fred, Amanda Seyfried as Daphne, Frank Welker as Scooby-Doo and Mark Wahlberg as Blue Falcon.
Free popcorn will be provided by the borough and Plum Rotary. Vince Lagrotteria handles the audio and visual aspects of the evening.
“We feel its a nice safe opportunity for families to get out of the house and have a nice evening of entertainment,” Lagrotteria said. He commended all the volunteers who work the event.
Attendees can bring their own drinks. People who wish to move about the grounds or go to concessions should wear masks.
Audio is broadcast via theater speakers and on an FM radio station for people who want to sit in their cars. Info on the station will be available at the event. Trivia games may be played before the movie.
The most recent movie in the park was July 11 when Plum showed “Playing with Fire” with John Cena, John Leguizamo and Keegan-Michael Key.
More than a dozen cars were spaced apart at the park to allow for social distancing.
More information about Plum recreational opportunities will be posted at plumboro.com.
