Two men from Arnold face felony drug charges after a team of police raided a home on Tuesday and found nearly 2 ounces of powdered cocaine along with crack and oxycodone pills, according to authorities.

Jerome Dockblandi Poole, 34, of the 1800 block of 3rd Avenue was charged with three felony counts of possession with the intent to deliver and four other drug-related charges.

Poole is being held in the Westmoreland County Prison after failing to post 10% of the $20,000 bond set at his arraignment, according to court records. He faces a preliminary hearing before District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr. on March 31.

Robert Joris, 63, was charged with a felony count of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver and two related drug charges. According to court records, Arnold police filed the charges against Joris on March 7. He is still awaiting arraignment before Pallone, according to court officials.

Agents from the state Attorney General’s Office and the Westmoreland County Drug Task Force, which includes officers from Arnold, executed a search warrant on March 15 and detained Joris, according to a criminal complaint.

A search of the house turned up a backpack in a bedroom that had a bag with 49.9 grams of powdered cocaine inside, police said.

Police also confiscated 8.6 grams of crack cocaine and 141 oxycodone pills, the complaint said.

Syringes, empty stamp bags and other drug paraphernalia along with bags containing an unknown white powder were confiscated from the kitchen, investigators said.

According to federal court officials in Pittsburgh, Poole was among 33 prison inmates accused in 2020 of using accomplices to obtain coronavirus unemployment benefits. The government said his ex-girlfriend filed for the benefits on his behalf while he was an inmate at the state prison in Greene County.

In 2013, Poole was arrested during an undercover drug bust outside a Westmoreland County convenience store that ended with state troopers confiscating more than $187,000 worth of heroin, $2,400 worth of cocaine, $10,000 in suspected drug profits and a handgun.

In 2004, Joris was arrested on bank robbery charges to which he pleaded guilty.
