Kiski Township police arrested Richard Davidson, 66, and Jody Mills, 46, both of Apollo in connection with an incident during a welfare check in the township Sept. 13.

Two Apollo area residents were arrested by Kiski Township police following an incident during a welfare check at a township home.

Officers responded to a residence along Old State Road around 4:15 p.m. Monday when they found a man believed to have been under the influence of narcotics and a woman wanted on a previous drug charge.

Police said Richard Davidson, 66, was under the influence of methamphetamines when began he to interfere with an officer’s investigation during the welfare check.

He began to resist arrest by fighting with the officer and was eventually taken into custody, police said.

Davidson was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Officers also encountered Jody Mills, 46, inside the residence.

Police found she had an outstanding warrant against her stemming from a previous possession of methamphetamine charge. She was taken into custody at the house.

Police said Mills was also in possession of four bags of the narcotic resulting in new charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mills was taken to the Armstrong County Jail in East Franklin.

No further information was released.
