Police are investigating the death of a child Wednesday in Harrison.

Harrison police Chief Brian Turack said township officers responded to Pine Street for a medical incident involving a child inside of a residence.

He said Allegheny County Police were subsequently requested to the scene to handle the investigation due to the nature of the incident. He did not elaborate.

First responders were called to the scene at about 12:15 p.m.

Allegheny County Police spokesman Jim Madalinsky said preliminary information was not yet available.

Pine Street sits between Linden and Spruce streets in Harrison’s Natrona neighborhood.

The scene was cleared at 5 p.m.
