Two people suffered minor injuries after gunshots were fired early Monday near Corbet Street in Tarentum, authorities said.

The victims were not hit by gunfire, according to Allegheny County Police.

Officers responded about 2:45 a.m. to the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Corbet Street, near the railroad tracks.

At 5:15 a.m., the corner near the former Rite-Aid building and Harrison’s men’s store was still blocked with police cars and lined with evidence markers.

Police began to leave the scene about 5:35 a.m.

Anyone with information is asked to call the county police tip line at 833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
