A North Apollo man is accused of threatening to kill another man as he hit him numerous times in the head and torso with a chain, according to Kiski Township police.

Police charged Randy Lee Hollis, 58, with two felony counts of aggravated assault as well as lesser charges including simple assault, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment and harassment.

Police said officers responded to the incident around 12:40 p.m. Monday near Wysocki Avenue in North Apollo, which is patrolled by Kiski Township police.

Hollis attacked the victim over a property dispute, police said. Police did not say how seriously the victim was hurt.

Hollis was placed in Armstrong County Jail after being unable to post $15,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. July 22 before District Judge James Andring in Leechburg.
