Repairs set through November on Route 1006, spanning Indiana Township, Harmar, Fox Chapel

PennDOT announced roadway improvement work will begin Thursday on Dorseyville Road, Saxonburg Boulevard, Guys Run Road, Harts Run Road and Fox Chapel Road, spanning Indiana and Harmar townships and Fox Chapel.

The work is part of a nearly $11.9 million paving project.

Single-lane alternating traffic for base repair work will take place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, weather permitting, through early November on these roadways:

• Saxonburg Boulevard between Klein and Harts Run roads in Indiana Township;

• Harts Run Road between Saxonburg Boulevard and Dorseyville Road in Indiana Township and Fox Chapel;

• Dorseyville Road between Harts Run and Fox Chapel roads in Indiana Township;

• Fox Chapel Road between Dorseyville and Guys Run roads in Indiana Township and Fox Chapel;

• Guys Run Road between Fox Chapel and Locust Hill roads in Indiana and Harmar townships.

Flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.

Work includes base repairs, milling and paving operations, as well as other construction-related activities. Drainage improvements will continue through the winter.

The prime contractor is A. Liberoni Inc.
