Residents of O'Hara, Fox Chapel selected as new chair, vice chair of St. Margaret Foundation
The board of directors of the St. Margaret Foundation has elected a new chairperson and vice chair.
Michelle Keane Domeisen will serve as chairperson and Seth Silverman as vice chair for two-year terms, according to a Dec. 15 announcement.
Domeisen is senior vice president of investment services in the Colliers International Pittsburgh office. She is a founding member of Pittsburgh Women in Commercial Real Estate.
Past and present board appointments include serving as vice chair of St. Margaret Foundation, chair of the University of Pittsburgh Katz Business School Alumni, vice chair of the Rebecca Residence Foundation and board member of Concordia Lutheran at Rebecca Residence, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh.
She holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, a Doctor of Ministry degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and is a Penn State Master Gardener. Domiesen and her husband, Frank, reside in O’Hara Township. Their daughter, Natalie, and son-in-law, Adam, are resident physicians in radiology at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina.
“St. Margaret Foundation provides essential services to patients that are not covered by insurance or other sources such as transport to cancer treatments that, otherwise, would fall through the cracks. Quite simply, the foundation saves lives and its work is critical to the health and safety of our community,” said Domeisen.
Silverman is an investment adviser in Janney Montgomery Scott’s Pittsburgh office. He has served on the boards of directors for several no-profit organizations, including Jamie’s Dream Team, and on the finance committee of The Friendship Circle’s Pittsburgh chapter.
Silverman holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from the University of Pittsburgh and has more than 16 years experience in the financial services industry. Seth and his wife, Annina, have resided in Fox Chapel since 2010.
“As a resident of Fox Chapel, I’m honored to be involved with the (St. Margaret Foundation) and see firsthand the good that the foundation does for St. Margaret’s patients and the greater community,” said Silverman. “Our mission is to support the quality of life, healing and independence of St. Margaret’s patients and family members by helping to close gaps during health crises.”
