Reward offered for information that solves 40-year-old New Kensington murder case

Tiffany Miller of New Kensington was killed in 1979 at the age of 5. Her murder remains unsolved.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that could solve a 40-year-old New Kensington murder case.

State police announced Monday that new information has been discovered in the Tiffany Miller case, prompting the offering of the reward.

Miller, 5, was reported missing from her Peach Court residence by her mother on Sept. 22, 1979.

Authorities said she was last seen the night before inside the house.

Her body was found about a week later in the Allegheny River. Her death was ruled a homicide.

She’s buried at Union Cemetery in Arnold. State police continue to investigate the case.

Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers announced the award for information Monday.
