Rich Hill Road section will close Monday for slide repairs in West Deer

Landslide repair work will close a section of Rich Hill Road beginning Monday, Aug. 3, PennDOT officials announced Friday.

The landslide occurred between Michael Road/Russellton-Dorseyville Road and Mill Dam Road.

Traffic will be detoured along the following route:

From north of the slide:

• From Michael/Russellton-Dorseyville Road, follow East Union Road;

• Right onto Starr Road;

• Left onto Little Deer Creek Valley Road;

• Right onto Russellton Road;

• Right onto Crawford Run Road;

• Left onto Little Deer Creek Valley Road;

• Right on Lefever Hill Road;

• Right on Rich Hill Road;

• Follow to Mill Dam Road.

The detour from the south is the same, in reverse.

The slide repair is expected to last until late August, according to PennDOT officials.
