Brackenridge awarded three contracts totaling about $190,000 for road work in the borough.

The largest contract, almost $75,000, is for resurfacing Roup Avenue from Prospect Street to Mile Lock Lane. Tresco Paving submitted the lowest of nine bids, borough Secretary Denise Tocco said.

The borough also will resurface Sixth Avenue from Prospect Street to Harrison Lane, at the border with Tarentum, Tocco said. Shields Paving submitted the lowest of 9 bids, $73,468.

Borough crews are replacing a waterline on part of Sixth Avenue, Tocco said. The road will be resurfaced after that work is done, she said.

The third contract is for tarring and chipping 17 roads and alleys. Youngblood Paving was the only company to submit a bid, $41,601, Tocco said.
