A crash early Monday morning closed Exit 11 off Route 28 heading inbound to Pittsburgh.

The Harmar exit of Route 28 inbound (Exit 11) has reopened Monday morning after being closed for several hours while crews addressed a fallen light pole.

A car crash reported to PennDOT just before 2:30 a.m. knocked over the light pole along the exit lane, said spokesperson Steve Cowan. Utility crews had to shut off electricity to the pole before it could be removed, he said. The exit reopened shortly after 7:30 a.m.

Cowan deferred to police for additional questions regarding the crash. Harmar Police could not be reached for comment Monday morning.
