Route 356 in Allegheny Township to close again Wednesday

Traffic navigates the new roundabout at Route 356 and La Belle Vue Road in Allegheny Township. The highway is expected to close again Wednesday through early next month for more roadwork.
PennDOT is scheduled to close Route 356 between Park and Melwood/Hyde Park roads and La Belle View Road between Ashland Way and Route 356 on Wednesday.
Both closures are expected to be in place until early next month, depending on weather.
The closures will allow Ligonier Construction Co. to perform additional road work that’s part of a $7.7 million project to improve Route 356. Work has included realignment of the road, installation of a roundabout, and upgraded traffic lights. The project is expected to be completed in May.
