Route 910 bridge replacement in Indiana Township, near Rawlins Run, begins Monday
Route 910 in Indiana Township, near Rawlins Run, will be closed beginning Monday as crews work to replace a bridge.
Beginning at 7 a.m., bridge replacement work will start on Route 910 between Indianola Road and Bayer Drive.
Route 910 will close at the bridge through Tuesday, Aug. 8, according to PennDOT.
PennDOT officials said work in the area will include excavating and removing the existing bridge, installing a new box culvert, drainage improvements, paving, signage, guardrail updates, pavement markings and other construction.
The work is weather permitting.
All traffic will be detoured.
Cars east of the closure will detour right onto Guys Run Road, bear right onto Fox Chapel Road, turn left onto Dorseyville Road, turn right onto Harts Run Road and turn right onto Saxonburg Boulevard back to Route 910.
Cars west of the closure will take the same detour in the opposite direction.
Trucks east of the closure will take Freeport Road westbound, turn right onto Guys Run Road, bear right onto Fox Chapel Road, turn left onto Dorseyville Road, turn right onto Harts Run Road and turn right onto Saxonburg Boulevard back to Route 910.
Trucks west of the closure will take the same detour in the opposite direction.
Independence Excavating Inc. of Indiana Township is the prime contractor for the project.
The cost for the project is just under $923,000.
