Leechburg homeowner Shawn McGonagle found a military hat Thursday while chasing a bat in the attic of a historic home along Market Street in Leechburg. A local historian believes the hat dates from 1864 to 1900 and likely belonged to an enlisted infantryman who was a field musician.
