Police in Armstrong County are looking for a 31-year-old man said to be in danger and suffering from paranoid delusions and hallucinations.
According to Manor Township police, Cory Dominic Cook was last seen around 8 a.m. Thursday, and the last time someone had contact with him was by phone or text around 7 a.m. Friday.
His rental car was found abandoned in the area of the Judge J. Frank Graff Bridge that carries routes 28 and 422 over the Allegheny River. It was not known where he went from there.
Cook is not believed to have his phone with him. Police did not say where Cook lives.
On Saturday, Manor Township police said Pennsylvania Search and Rescue will be helping in the search for Cook.
There will be increased foot traffic and search-and-rescue dogs working in the area between Water Street and the Kittanning sewage treatment plant.
Police asked residents to avoid the area to allow volunteers and dogs the best possible conditions to conduct the search.
Cook is described as being 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 170 to 190 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a burgundy hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.
