Shady Side Academy to host appointment-only vaccine clinic
Shady Side Academy is partnering with Rite Aid to offer a free, appointment-only coronavirus vaccine clinic Saturday on its Fox Chapel campus.
The clinic is open to the public. Anyone 16 years or older may register online here.
The deadline to register is noon Thursday.
“We’re just trying to do our part to get as many people vaccinated in our local community,” said Shady Side Academy spokeswoman Jen Roupe.
Rite Aid pharmacists will administer the Pfizer vaccine from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Curry Gymnasium on Shady Side Academy’s Senior School campus at 423 Fox Chapel Road.
Roupe said 275 of 400 vaccines remained after the private school held a vaccination clinic last week for eligible students from Shady Side Academy and other high school students.
The school previously hosted a vaccination clinic for K-12 educators March 12.
Registrants are required to bring a completed Rite Aid consent form signed by a parent or guardian if they are under 18, along with a photocopy of their health insurance card and a photo ID.
Appointments can be made online at shadysideacademy.org/vaccine-clinic. A drop-down menu provides appointment time options.
