Sheetz to hold hiring event for 440 openings in state
Sheetz Inc. has plans to hire more than 440 employees for its 310 stores in Pennsylvania and a total of 1,350 throughout its seven-state footprint, the Altoona-based company said Wednesday.
To seek employees in a tight labor market, Sheetz is holding hiring events with on-the-spot interviews at its 310 stores in the state from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 26.
Sheetz said it is focused on hiring employees for key roles, including supervisors and assistant managers.
Prospective employees interested in attending a hiring event will need to apply for a store position online at jobs.sheetz.com before arriving. Those interested in working at Sheetz will need to check in at the cash register by scanning a QR code that Sheetz provides.
Sheetz also is holding hosting hiring events and on-the-spot interviews at all of its more than 760 locations across its seven-state footprint, in an effort to hire more than 910 employees for its stores in six other states, including West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland.
Sheetz said it offers competitive pay and benefits, a 401(k) retirement plan, college tuition reimbursement, an employee stock ownership plan and flexible schedules.
