A Shoe Sensation will open in Allegheny Township.

A Shoe Sensation is coming to Allegheny Township.

The store, in the Hyde Park Plaza, 451 Hyde Park Road, tentatively plans a soft opening Aug. 15, according to a representative from Shoe Sensation.

The representative offered no other details about the store.

Shoe Sensation sells an assortment of shoes and sandals for men, women and children.

The Indiana-based company operates more than 240 locations in 22 states, according to its website. In the Alle-Kiski Valley, Shoe Sensation has a store in Hillcrest Plaza in Lower Burrell.

Allegheny Township Supervisors Chairman Jamie Morabito said the store is “another great addition” to the plaza, “for all the residents to have the convenience of shopping close to home.”

The Hyde Park Plaza, owned by developer Jeff Paul, has welcomed a variety of stores in recent years. Notably, an Aldi and Ollie’s Bargain Outlet opened within the past two years, and a Dollar Tree opened in 2023. A Bealls clothing store opened earlier this year.

A Starbucks there is still under construction. A Starbucks spokesperson would only say they plan a “fall” opening.
