Allegheny County police are investigating a shooting at a Harrison apartment complex, police said.
According to a public-safety alert issued by Harrison Township Police, they responded to a report of a shooting at the rear of the Sheldon Park Apartments on Park Avenue.
County police responded around 5:30 p.m., when they found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to a hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.
Police asked residents to remain in their homes and report suspicious activity by calling 911, the alert said. County detectives are investigating.
