Shoppes at Pittsburgh Mills in Frazer to be sold at online auction
Shoppes at Pittsburgh Mills, a shopping plaza near the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills in Frazer, is going up for auction.
The property is a six-tenant retail center, comprising 9,907 square feet. Current tenants include Mattress Firm, Bob’s Sub, Sports Clips Haircuts, SweetFrog and American Discount Uniform. The property, built in 2005, is listed as 87.9% occupied.
An online auction is set for Oct. 26 through Oct. 28, with bidding starting at $600,000.
Allegheny County assessed the property at $1,160,400 this year.
Shoppes at Pittsburgh Mills is being auctioned by CBRE, a real estate services company, and Ten-X Commercial Client Management.
In addition to its proximity to Pittsburgh Mills mall, the site also neighbors Lowe’s, Walmart and Sam’s Club.
The nearby Pittsburgh Mills has been trying for a turnaround for several years. Cinemark, one of the mall’s anchors, closed permanently in May. JCPenney followed suit later.
Even before the the covid-19 pandemic struck, shoppers were worried for the mall’s future.
