A portion of Saxonburg Boulevard in West Deer will be closed starting Monday as crews begin to fix road slides.

The work requires the road, between Trump Road and Saxony Road, to close completely. The road will be closed to traffic starting at 7 a.m. Monday, and will reopen Friday, Sept. 22, according to PennDOT.

Motorists south of the closure will take Russellton-Dorseyville Road, and turn left onto East Union Road. They will follow East Union Road to Saxonburg Boulevard.

Motorists north of the closure will take the same detour in the opposite direction.

During the closure, PennDOT crews will complete slide repair work and roadway reconstruction.
