South Buffalo Township police accused a man of sexually assaulting a child over a nine-year period that began when they were 5.

Eric Lynn Nulph, 73, of the 300 block of Troy Hill Road in Rayburn with felony counts of rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, involuntary deviate intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault of a child under 13 and corruption of minors.

Nulph was charged Wednesday, Dec.20 and arraigned Friday before District Judge J. Gary DeComo, court records show.

Police wrote in a criminal complaint that on Sept. 13 the child reported that Nulph sexually assaulted them from the time they were 5 until they turned 13.

The child told police the assaults happened so frequently that it felt like it was part of their “regular routine,” the complaint said.

DeComo ordered a $50,000 unsecured bond.

Nulph faces a preliminary hearing Jan. 30.
