Alle-Kiski senior citizens will have a chance to learn more about services available to them during a spring resource fair this Friday.

The fair is hosted by state Sen. Lindsey Williams and will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Springdale Veterans Association banquet hall, 1151 Pittsburgh St.

A continental breakfast will be provided and more than 30 vendors will be available to meet with seniors.

Vendors include Allegheny County Library Association, PennDOT, Penn State Extension Allegheny County Master Gardener Program, Pittsburgh Senior News, Port Authority of Allegheny County, UPMC Health Plan, and Venture Outdoors.

The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Department will also be collecting expired prescriptions during the event.

A professional storyteller and therapy animals from the Animal Friends Therapet Program will also be there.

Williams’ staff will also be available to assist seniors with completing rent rebate forms.
