New Kensington man charged in Leechburg shootings

A New Kensington man accused of shooting two people in Leechburg has turned himself in to authorities.

Pennsylvania State Police said the shooting happened shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday along the 100 block of Market Street.

Chad Robert Goldstrom, 37, was taken into custody without incident around 4 p.m. Monday at the state police Kittanning barracks, police said.

He is accused of firing multiple gunshots at two men, both 38 years of age. Both were taken to an unidentified Pittsburgh hospital, where police said one was in critical condition and the other was stable.

State police charged Goldstrom with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call state police in Kittanning at 724-543-2011.
