The summer is getting STEAMy for area youngsters.

Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in New Kensington is hosting a free, four-session STEAM camp for children in partnership with ABC CREATE educators. Monday, participants of the first session learned about computer coding and programmed Bee-Bots.

Topics include robotics, computer science, engineering and art. Remaining sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 31 and Aug. 2 at the church.

The camp is limited to 30 students who will be attending first through sixth grades in the fall. Lunch is provided.
