The Tarentum municipal building on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018.

The main office of the Tarentum municipal building will be closed this week after its only scheduled employee is in quarantine for covid-19-related protocol.

Manager Michael Nestico said the office will reopen at 10 a.m. Sept. 27.

“We only have one employee scheduled to be in the office this week so we simply closed until we are back to full staffing next week,” he said.

Other portions of the building remain open.

The main office accepts utility bill payments. Anyone who needs to drop off a payment can place the bill or other correspondence in the drop box by the front gate, Nestico said.

The code enforcement office is open, he said.
