Plum Community Center seeking volunteers
Plum Community Center is looking for people to give their time as lunch servers in the center kitchen.
Hot lunches are served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 weekdays. Volunteers report at 10:30 a.m. to portion the side dishes and then serve lunch until 12:15 p.m.

Taste of Two Towns event to benefit Oakmont Carnegie Library
Oakmont Carnegie Library’s 12th annual Taste of Two Towns fundraiser will be from 5 to 7 p.m. May 4 at the library, 700 Allegheny River Blvd., Oakmont.
There will be samplings of specialty foods and tastings from breweries from Oakmont and Verona, music and a silent auction.

Peoples Library plans annual luncheon fundraiser
The Peoples Library Spring Luncheon will be April 26 at the Banquet on Barnes Event Center at Knead Community Café, 1011 Barnes St., New Kensington.
Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and the buffet lunch will begin at 1:30 p.m. There will be a bake sale, raffle prizes and a 50-50.

Community Good Friday service planned
The annual community Good Friday service hosted by Allegheny Valley Association of Churches will be from noon to 3 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 857 10th Ave., Brackenridge.
Each word will be presented by a different local minister and there will be special music. Worshippers can come for all or part of the service.
